XTS 3000 I&II hot mic question
We have a few VHF conventional XTS5000 that I enabled the "hot mic" option on. I wish to do the same with approximately 75 XTS3000 I's and II's, but that option is not highlighted in the software. Is that a firmware upgrade, or am I not turning on something on another page? This is P25, not MDC.

Comparator Status monitor
I am still seeking a device for monitoring the status of 4 remote receivers, preferably not dedicating a PC for the purpose.

Voting
Neat stuff! We have added three sites using leased phone lines. Used HS money, but were not aware that the comparator did not include the capability to monitor voter site status.
Is there an option to monitor status at the console w/o dedicating another pc (and the space)? If so, are there ...

Can a current production Quantar on the high split (154+) be tricked to 147 mHz?

Maratrac to 6 Meters
In trying to take a 50 mHz Maratrac to 52 mHz (using the short version), I managed to ruin the VCO slugs. This is not an old radio, and I was surprised to see that the parts are no longer listed with the local MSS. Seems like the waitress at the donut shop told me that there is an equivalent part ...

Quantar Base to CEB link
We presently have a VHF Quantar Base with 3 additional Astro-Tac Receivers at a remote site approximately one mile from the dispatch point/CEB. This is analog, and is used for the Statewide interoperability channels, and Volunteer Fire Dispatching. Each receiver comes back to the CEB on a dedicated ...

Astro conventional voting
I heard from the waitress at the donut shop that JPS makes the comparator for /\/\otorola P25. I have some grant money, but nowhere near enough for what "M" has quoted. I think the "engineering and implementation" costs are totally out of sight. Is adding voters something I would want to tackle ...

MSF 5000 int TX problem
First, I am a GE kinda guy, and I don't know Moto as well as I should. But I have been running an MSF5000 at 443 for several years. This is the older model that requires the R1800 to program. The TX has become intermittent. If it is keyed manually at the site, or via the input and it has gone dead ...

1. We are using P25 Astro VHF in a conventional migration mode. We use P25 repeaters, as well as simplex. We operate VHF FM repeaters and simplex. We monitor several other agencies who are still in analog, and communicate with them on FM interoperability channels. Some of these agencies are running ...
