Do you have an AN or BN radio? The Part number for the housing kit is different for each. The housing itself (the piece of plastic - no electronics, you would have to transfer the ones in the current housing to the new one, and I also don't think this comes with the "Motorola XTS3000" stic...

I have an old Dell laptop bag that's more like a briefcase. The programming laptop goes in the main pouch (obviously), the programming cables in a secondary large pocket, the USB-Serial converter, RIB, and laptop AC adapter in another, and burned CDs with software in another (just in case).

I have the motorola-branded one. The required extended battery doesn't have a belt clip and is overall bulky. Audio performance is subpar and it tends to drop the wireless link randomly, requiring a power-cycle of both the radio and the RSM...

Well I've never sat down and worked out the numbers, but I was told a few times by different people to stay away from the VHF stubby antennas. I believe it was something about how they are designed internally in relation to VHF radiation characteristics.

The one on the right could conceivably be a VHF stubby antenna (VHF stubs have particularly bad issues, I would avoid them), but there's no way the one on the left is a valid VHF antenna - it looks like a UHF whip.

Will R07 do anything at all to a radio with FW higher than 7? I've seen this issue with NetMotion. Check the connection speed for the aircard. Something tells me that the aircard thinks its a faster connection locally than the Wi-Fi. The 64 bit definitely won't work. Supposedly if you are using the latest (R06.12.02), Pro Series will work on the 32-bit, but I wouldn't count on it.
