I had some MINT Saber R's about 10 years ago and sold them. I searched LONG and HARD and could not find diddly in batteries Shame really. Good luck you have a better chance winning powerball.

Tried to reread the codeplug but get the can't find radio message, I also tried reading from the remote mounted case port and same deal. Do APX's usually display fail codes like XTLS's? That is what troubles me the O5 head powering up and the display saying APX7500 (no other info) and powering right...

APX7500 Powering off/down after programming
Hey gang, I just wrote a codeplug using CPS16.00.00 into a APX7500 remote mount 05 head. Firmware and DSP are 12.00.00 in the radio. Clone radio said write successful but now the radio powers up and display says APX7500 then immediate powers back down. Tried to program and or read codeplug again but...

Make sure you use the small metal hook and attach it to a screw head or something to help the mic plug from pulling out of the port.

I have seen others use black electrical shrink tape to seal/cover the cracks..Its most likely the compound "M" uses to make the antennas...Of course nothing lasts very long nowadays...Its a disposible world...LOL

For a picture of the wiring hookup check out the regular Batlabs.com site, select model info, select spectra series and there you will the find complete wiring/installation diagrams for A-3, A-4, A5/7 and A9 series head spectras

I ran into the same problem from six different Ebay System Saber 3's. I had to go into my computer set up and diable the bios caching setting.
After that the RSS ran 100%. Make sure you are using a SLOW OLD computer 286, 386.

If you just tested them (RIB, Cable) prior on another radio, that should rule out the wrong com port selected...Sounds like an internal problem

I believe it should have a funny looking hex head style recessed pressure valve type screw on the radio frame on the inside below the vent ports when you remove the battery.

Ditto on the above...The X9000 was the low band wide spread KING , the only other item close were GE's 950's and later GE Orions..Since the death moan of low band public safety most are used as boat anchors now...Crying Shame...Built like a tank too...You really need a old 286 or 386 computer in DOS...

Ditto to the ebay comment. Both A-3's and W3's remote cables have been poping up on ebay CHEAP $20-30 bucks lately. Thats how I got mine, and No longer speaker cable is necessary. The cable hookup and speaker plug pretty much explains itself when you see it in person.

Spectra not Astro Spectra right? Usually the HHCH spectra scan list is programmed via the RSS, and the Scan switch just turns the scan on or off.
