Re: Programming ASTRO25 system with limited ASK in ASTRO25 CPS
Thanks. I've reached out to the system owners and explained the same as above and it looks like we're experiencing the same thing you describe, in multiple agencies (AFAIK/can tell). I'm hoping they will send out an unrestricted key with a similar "don't touch nothin'" agreement in place.

Re: Programming ASTRO25 system with limited ASK in ASTRO25 CPS
Anyone got any theories? Even a suggestion on somewhere else I can ask if that's most appropriate. The way it looks right now to me, according to the ASTRO25 CPS help file, is that the CPS is engineered to prevent users from creating trunking personalities if the Advanced System Key they own has any...

Re: Programming ASTRO25 system with limited ASK in ASTRO25 CPS
Depending on when ASK was programmed by the Master key owner. . . . they may not have enabled the proper check boxes for the XTL/XTS series radios. The APX Advanced Key Administrator handles the creation of an ASK for APX as well as XTS/XTL software. Unfortunately I am at home and not my office or ...

Programming ASTRO25 system with limited ASK in ASTRO25 CPS
Hi all, I'm having a hell of a time building some codeplugs and I hope somebody here can help. I have a small fleet of radios for a fire department - one APX7500, 4-5 XTL5000s, and a handful of Kenwood NX5400 portables. I have advanced system keys for both the Motorola and Kenwood radios, legitimate...

Hey all, sorry for the noobish question. I'd like to have my dispatch center recognize both our portable/mobile radio IDs and emergency button activations that we're doing with MDC1200 signaling. The center is using Centracom Gold Elite - I don't know what version specifically off the top of my head...

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I just picked up this device and have it working with the H300 headset (although the audio still comes thru the radio speaker in addition to over the headset).. just curious, is there any way to pair this thing with other such stuff? 2 questions: MCS model 3 control head buttons and MOL help
Hi all, Is there such a thing as a kit of buttons for the MCS2000 model III? I have a radio (control head on the radio body, not remote) and the buttons/keys are not the same as the standard radio. I'd like to get a set of button/key caps so I can program the radio I want, without having to tell peo...

Hi all, I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I figured I'd check in just in case. TRBO is not compatible with P25, am I right? And/or the XPR6550 can't do anything but TRBO and analog? There's a department local to me getting XPRs, in the process of replacing a series of analog VHF repeate...

Greetings all, I'm involved in spec'ing radio hardware for a piece of fire apparatus. Greetings folks, My fire dept is venturing into the world of alphanumeric paging at this point, using the original Advisor pagers on a city-owned paging network. I don't think it's a battery revert tone. It is still going on now, after 30+ hours (at least, that I'm aware of - surely longer). Heck, just page them twice! Gold Elite QCII alerting
Hi all, There are a few departments we dispatch for who want their tones sent twice in succession whenever we tone them out. The reason, I think, is that they don't get any alerting sound when whatever pagers/radios they have (not Big M) open up with the first set of tones, so they want a second set...
