Thanks for the reply. I am assuming I can send the radio to my Moto dealer for the upgrade. What would this upgrade do for the radio? Anything new or is it just to keep the radio up to date?

This is a very good possibility, it has engravings on the side which lead me to believe it once belonged to a fire department. Does anyone here have the ability to check a serial number if I were to PM the number?

Thanks for the helpful replies. Hopefully the maybe can turn into a yes in the next few days. If I were to clone it, would it have to be with a radio programmed the same as the inhibited one, or can it be any working xts3000?

Ah ha- after searching the forums about inhibited radios, it appears you are correct. If I was able to clone it with a different, but working xts3000r, would this uninhibit it?

I just bought a used xts3000r model 2 (ebay) and have a problem. When the radio is powered on, the green led lights up, the top row of symbols (batt indicator etc) and self-test appear, then the top row disappers followed by the self test- then nothing happens- no display, no audible noise when any ...
