Anybody else have updates on Min VI charger issues? I've got reports of several in my fire company, along with my own charger, that go red on insertion, and then a few seconds/minute or so later show fully charged. Carry case options
Folks, I'm trying to determine the appropriate leather cases for an APX6000 model 2.5 with the PMNN4486A battery. Motorola's accessory page doesn't list that battery in the descriptions of the cases. Is there an alternate part number that is the same size battery that I should be looking for?

Surprisingly little out there for either of these part numbers. I'd sure like to have D-rings on our RSMs so folks stop clipping them to the tips of the antennas.

Anyone know of a shop in the Montgomery County, PA area that can upgrade the firmware on Impres chargers? We need to prep ours for APXs. (Or would it just be easier/cheaper to buy the upgrader and handle it ourselves?)

Can anyone confirm the actual availability of housing colors other than black, green and yellow for the 6000XE? I've found part numbers for red, blue and orange for the regular 6000, but so far nothing for the XEs.

Since they don't seem to allow ordering the other colors from the factory, I'm wondering how hard it is to swap the housing pieces. Realistically though, I doubt that we would bother. I would have been nice to be able to get them from the factory in any color.

I'm confused about what housing colors are available for the APX6000/6000XE family. The spec sheets say black, yellow and green for both models, but I'm seeing housing kits online like the NHN7071AS in orange, and I see red and blue as well. How weather resistant is a stock XTS2500? For example, should I be concerned about exposing it to a heavy rain storm? I try to keep it in a gear pocket if possible, but sometimes it's exposed.

OK, what does the fact that when I select talk groups in the scan list, toggling through the selection only gives me the icon or the icon with dot, but not flashing, tell me? I never see the icon with a flashing dot.
