Re: The famous MT6000e Microphone

Hi,
Merry Christmas to all! Recently, I purchased a surplus Non-public safety microphone(NM6242B) to use in place of a commander microphone that I gifted away in a trade. I love it, it works great.
Aside from that...how are you supposed to wear it with your radio on a duty belt? If I clip it on my ...

Re: Motorola MT6000E Power-up fault code

Yes you could use the Codeplug from another MT6000E, you might need to use the 'Lab' version of the programming software to get the radio to accept it.. The downside of doing this is you would end up with a radio that has the tuning/calibration settings of the donor radio :x

They do not make any noise when programming... the cloning cable does not have pin 7 connected either.
The only reason pin 7 is shown grounded is that the circuit is from the service cable and it is required to route RX audio to the 4005 service box.. But as a programming only cable it is not ...

Duff Motorola RIB Box

For anyone who has purchased a light grey coloured Motorola RIB box off of eBay in the UK and found that it does not work with their RIB to Radio leads, this might be of help. The PCB inside the box is marked 'FVMaster', in their descriptions they say the RIB is pin-for-pin compatible with the ...

Enable 'Inhibit Selection' in the 'Channel Definitions' menu, that way only the 'Channel Alias' will be displayed..
Also in the 'Channel Alias definitions' make sure that 'Alternate Display' is disabled otherwise it will alternate between the channel number and the alias..

For the one with bad receive, check to make sure you don't have a broken antenna jack connection on the rf board, very common with the Genesis series. And if it was broken it would still transmit, though eventually you will have a dead PA because of it.. Seen it plenty of times...

There is an HT600E specific RSS but it is a cut down version of the MT1000 RSS, it is designed to be run on a floppy and has no signalling options.. As has been said the MT1000 RSS will do everything you want..

That was my initial guess as well, but sadly no there is no PL deviation adjustment in the GP900/GM900 range.
