Quantar Receiver Failure
I have a 900 MHz Quantar that was working fine and then recently I noticed the receiver didn't seem to be working. Using RSS, I looked at the Metering Screen and noticed that the Injection Level was only 0.08 volts. I swapped the receiver with a known good (and working) receiver and for this unit ...

Re: Quantar 2nd V.24 Port
Its only used on the comparator board.
Thanks Byron. That's what I'd come to believe. I first found that a 4-Wire Wireline board didn't pick-up the hardware interfaces. I then proceeded to get an 8-Wire board that did interface to the second port on the V.24 board, but didn't see anywhere in ...

Quantar 2nd V.24 Port
On a Quantar with a V.24 daughter card, is it possible to use Port 2? I realize that an 8-Wire WIB is needed to interface with the second port circuitry of the daughterboard, but even with the 8-Wire board, I haven't been able to utilize Port 2. Is there any way around this, or is Port 2 only ...

USB Programming After Window 10 2004 Update
Anyone else having problems after the Windows 10 2004 update? Since updating my PC, neither my XTS or XTL USB programming cables seem to be recognized in Device Manager. I get the "jingle" when I plug them in, but nothing gets populated on the screen. As a result neither, CPS can't talk to my radios ...

Quantar V.24 Card Switch Settings
Does anyone have descriptions of what the two sets of dip-switches (S101 and S102) do on the V.24 daughtercard? The card that I have has switch 1 of both switches in the "ON" position and switches 2,3 and 4 in the "OFF" position. It would be nice to know the function of these switches. I've only ...

Analog Passthru on DIU 3000
I'm trying use a Quantar and DIU 3000 to interface to an ROIP controller. In the past I have just passed analog audio (via wireline) to and from the controller, but I recently acquired the DIU and would like to get audio to the controller with either an analog or P25 input. I've added the V.24 ...

Re: Deviation Balance using Astro 25 Tuner on Spectra
So are the 10 Hz and 67 Hz tones correct? Why is this so much different from the tones used on the XTS 2500?
I was using an HP 8920 to measure the deviation, but could get access to an 8901 if needed.

Deviation Balance using Astro 25 Tuner on Spectra
I am trying to align the deviation balance on a UHF Astro Spectra Plus using Astro 25 Tuner. I've used the tuner on an XTS 2500 before and everything worked fine. With the 2500 and tuner, modulation tones of 60 Hz and 3000 Hz are balanced as advertised. However, when I try to align the Spectra +, I ...
