Re: XPR5550e - inactivity power off?

No problem. It appears the TRBO team doesn't talk to the APX team a whole lot! I'd love to have manual display brightness control and day/night mode on my APX7000 like I do on my XPR7550 but that probably won't happen.

Re: XPR5550e - inactivity power off?

The closest I believe would be the "ignition sense auto power down timer" found on the accessories page. You can tell the radio to shutdown after a specific time once 12 V is no longer present on the ignition sense line. If set for 0, it powers down right away but it can go all the way up ...

Re: XPR 5550 UHF Question

As far as I know, you have to use third party software and some infrastructure in order to fully utilize the GPS/AVL functionality (on digital channels only). Usually, the software tells the radios how often to send location data. Here is simply one example: http://tablet.media/products/eztrackertrb...

Re: XPR 5550 UHF Question

It is 403-470 MHz (Indicated by the "Q" in the model number) and will do 25 kHz but only if you use CPS that has the wideband EID enabled (free if you have an MOL account and jump through some hoops).

Re: Problems cloning a SL7550

You need to edit the CPS options (either from File or Edit? Going from memory, as many time as I've used the software, I should know better!) to actually clone the ID and not simply ignore what's entered into the text box (thus leaving whatever was currently in the radio). From the window that opens...

Someone more knowledgeable than me on the subject will have to elaborate but FPP and trunking can't coexist in XTS5000s with firmware/CPS above R9. I believe you'll be OK with FPP because you have Q52 and Q53 but I'm not certain what other problems having an invalid flashcode will present.
