Fail 02/xx is the Vocoder/DSP. Although not listed specifically in the manual, 85 is like some combination of RAM/ROM failure on the vocoder board. At the end of the day the resolution is the same, swap the vocoder board.

Those color settings are for the O5 head only. The O2 is white or black background. You can change it to night mode with a long press on the dim button.

When you are adding the zone start from the donor zone, click the "CUR" instead of "DEF" button, add the zones, and then delete the channels you do not require.

I don't have the exact details in front of me, but I believe you need to change the "Control Head VIP input source" in the Radio wide, Control head tab.

APX mobiles automatically upload the appropriate control head firmware when the head is plugged into the radio for the first time if it is incompatible or out of date. The soft power off button operation is detailed in the help file:

The siren is plug and play just as you suspected. There are no powercall tones, but the manual does make reference to a mechanical wail tone. you can select between Motorola classic tones, and Whelen standard tones with the option of piercer and mechanical wail programmed via dip switches on the unit.

Just a wild guess, but does your radio already have H38, SmartZone Systems Operation? If so, that includes H35 and H37 already. You cannot but a XTS5K that is not factory capable of H35.

For the MCS2000 second microphone kit - HKN6129A - 17 Foot Adapter Cable for second microphone.
The RJ45 that it comes with is pretty useless mounting wise, and I would go with an old mobile cell phone handset extender cable before that kit.

The first antenna has an Astro Saber accessory retainer nut stuck on it. You should be able to screw the antenna out of the silver base. You are dealing with two separate pieces .

You are looking for the bracket set comprised of 0702114Z01 and 0702114Z02. They are used to mount a DEK or Wildcard to an existing A5/5/7 remote head trunnion. They are still available.

The radio will not program with an invalid entry - That's why its invalid. Perhaps your display names are too long, or the scan lists are not setup for the correct type of personality.

Sounds like the speaker in/out connectors. Are they the same style connector as the spectra speaker? The spectra does not provide handset audio on the mic connector. Usually the switch on the handset controls the muting of the external speaker when the handset is picked up.

The signal strength meter only works on XTS3000's flashed for 9600 bps trunking, and operating on trunking systems.
The Astro Spectra does not support a signal strength meter whatsoever outside of the site RSSI indication on trunking.

Unfortunately the keypad is an integral part of the case. It does not have its own separate part number, and is held in place by the front cover which I believe is sonically welded to the main housing. In short, your only option would be to replace the whole housing.

Theoretically this is possible. You would need to change the W5 head from rear to front configuration with some surface mount jumper changes, replace the control head plastic and add the power on/off button. A change of flex would be in order, but the head bridge is the same.

I would guess that something is getting screwed up with the control head multiplexing that switches the mic jack between normal, program, and keyload modes. Perhaps something in the cable is messing with the current sensing on pin 1 of the mic jack, which controls part of the multiplexing. But that'...

Save yourself the time and hassle and do a "Top level drag and drop". Grab the very top level from your donor codeplug, and drop it into your target codeplug. You may have to adjust a few settings, but it will save you hours of programming!
