Forget all those nextel cables, there all grief, and USB cables do work if you have the one made for the radio!! Go for the real deal USB cable:

It is a sperete Glass lens that sticks on the FRONT CHASSIS SUB-ASSY, MODEL III totaly seperate from the LCD that it fits over.

Take the black foam out, save it for a later date when you sell the radio and want to sell the encryption board seperatly, then seat the board into the white connector, and put the radio back together, your done

Yes it does flash the display info, but it just a matter of seconds and getting used to the cycle of the flashing and syncing the button presses.KB9KST wrote:Yup it flashes the display info, it sucks!

Sounds like Q52 and Q53 are present. FPP will not work with Q52 present. This is correct, if you upgrade beyond R04.XX and have both Q52 AND Q53 present with trunking features, your FPP will leave the radio, if you only have Q53 present no matter what is in the features FPP is still operable and pr...

$499 is too much money for a XS3000, I see XTS3000 on egay for between $200 and $300 also my guess for what your needs are is you should have gone with the XTS2500.

They are probably not seated right on the board, you can pop them off with a thin screw driver and look to see if the push buttons are seated right in the housing, if not you will have to open up the radion chassis and reseat it right. Good luck
