And I thank you sir. I will look at that config and see if I cant then fabricate some
form of a "crossover" cable that will allow commection into earlier Radius, Maxtrac,
etc that use the 8 pin modular. Seems that should be do-able.

Yes. Find an old computer. The 4 pin connector that plugs into old large
disk drives is the same. of course you need to move the wires around if you
are picky about colors, or just splice longer wires of the right color in and go.

Not so far as is known yet. Seems that the band split info is
in an area of the firmware that cant be gotten into. There are

one of 2 things. If you have an amp behind that unit the 12 amp is
probably not supplying enough current and causing problems
or, the rf is getting into the 12 amp unit and causing it to mis

Don't think a protective diode but there is a fuse down near
the battery mounting area. A little green thing that stands up
like a resistor right near the contact block assembly. of course
I have slept since I saw one so this is totally a memory job.

Pretty well a disposable item. Although, I have ben known to use

put the battery on the back of the programming interface block.
YES, The radio does need to be powered. You may be
powering the block but it is not passing to the radio.
Use a voltmeter test the block for power out.
I believe there is an internal fuse in those things. :-? phrawg
