110 watt Spectra or Maratrac..Which one handles heat better?
--Hi, all. I am thinking about getting a new Moto radio for 2 meter FM, and I was wondering which one of these radios stays cooler during transmission, the 110 watt Spectra or the 110 watt Maratrac? Looking at the heatsinks, I would say the Spectra looks as if it would do a better job of keeping its ...

Re: Which Motorola UHF radios can be programmed with High/Low
Thanks for all the help, guys. The other day, I purchased a Motorola M1225 from JonboyOK, a fellow member of this board, and I am happy with the deal. I would feel comfortable purchasing another radio from him if I needed to. Anyway, I have told two of my friends about the GMRS band, and they (like ...

Re: M1225 Front Panel removal? How to?
Thanks for the help. Well, this front panel must be stuck on good, because I put a flat head screwdriver on the tab underneath the radio, to make sure it stayed unlatched, then I pulled towards me as hard as I could on the front panel...I even put on the mounting bracket "bolts", or whatever they ...

M1225 Front Panel removal? How to?
Hi, all. Well, I got my keypad buttons in today for the M1225, but I am having trouble taking the front panel off of the radio (got that in today as well). I noticed the tab on the bottom of the radio that I assume I have to lift up and then pull the front off, but the front panel seems to NOT want ...

Re: Which Motorola UHF radios can be programmed with High/Low
Thanks for the help. I've considered Kenwoods actually. Good radios. Right now, I see a Maxtrac that seems to fit the bill, but does anyone know if there is a button that can switch from high/low? Ugh, there are so many models of radios, haha.

Which Motorola UHF radios can be programmed with High/Low
Hi, all. I am in the market for a good solid GMRS radio that is able to be programmed for both high and low power using one of the front panel pushbuttons (I would like to have a high/low power choice so I am not running "full throttle" all the time). Here recently, I ordered a Motorola M1225 which ...

Re: Motorola Radius M1225 Replacement Buttons
Hi, Al. For some reason, when I checked my "View Messages" in the Control Panel, it says my private message to you is still in the "outbox" and is not yet sent, however I had clicked "submit" (it has not shown up in the "sent" section). Don't know what's up there. Anyway, please get in touch with me ...

Motorola Radius M1225 Replacement Buttons
Hi, all. First time poster here. I did a search but nothing came up...maybe I didn't put in the right search term. What I am looking for are some replacement buttons (up and down, A, B, C, and that "Z" shaped arrow) for my M1225. The radio works just fine, it's just that the buttons have yellowed a ...
