Yes, eight. Technically nine if you enter eight channels in the scan list and put the radio on a channel not included in the scan list. It would then scan the eight in the scan list and the selected channel.

Where is here? First there is frequency coordination with the service that you want to license in. Then there is the fee to the FCC for your license. Everything going along smoothly, you are looking at a six to nine month period to get a license.

That would be great if you could figure it out. Seems like it would be some type of changeable memory to accomodate the home channels. My radio works fine with the exception of the home channels which were set for the area in use and are of no use to me in my area.

Changing Home Channels

I too have one of the Areotron radios. My main interest is changing the HOME channels from their current pre-sets to the ones that would suit my needs. Is there a "quick fix" for this or am I stuck with what is in the radio?
