Southern Vehicle Equipment Hot Shot
I have recently come into possession of a Southern Vehicle Products Hot Shot rotator. It still has my father's green EMS dome on it (which is of no use to me for obvious reasons). I would like an amber dome so I can use it on my plow truck next winter, so far I have come up with nothing on the inter...

Re: What VHF portable do you recommend?
At this point I only send out units programmed on MURS frequencies, or if the customer already has a license.
This portable would be for a trained on site tech, either myself or an associate.

What VHF portable do you recommend?
As you may or may not know, I am working on starting up a small radio rental firm aimed at the live event industry. My inventory is VHF Motorola XTN's and CP100's. When things pick up (fingers crossed) I hope to be able to offer a complete system of 20 radios in a tiered inventory. I have 3 out 4 ti...

Systems Saber Question
Is this Ebay listing accurate?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Motorola-Systems-Sa ... dZViewItem
As I understood it Systems Sabers are capable of up to 255 channels, but this only says 16 channels.

Absolutely.n3chu wrote:Do you really think that taking out a screen or cloth or making the hole bigger will give it more bass?
The cloth is probably almost acoustically transparent, so it won't be a huge difference.
The larger hole will definitely make a difference, it's physics.

The BPR-40 is a nice unit for the price.
With a stubby antenna it's pocket size and also light enough to carry around all day.

Motorola BPR 40 Cloning Cable?
I have a Motorola Mag One BPR 40 and am looking to buy more. I had my unit programmed by Wiscomm and would like the additional units to be programmed exactly the same. The manual says I can use a cloning cable, which to me looks like a simple TRS cable. Is it wired the same as a mini stereo cable fo...
