Re: XPR5550 remote kit?
I was at a regional sales meeting in CT over the summer. I asked the question direct to an XPR 5500 manager. He quickly changed topics and that was the end of it. I have been told by an engineer that it probably will not happen due to the Bluetooth, they have fear of signal issues if the radio is re...

Desktrac to RICK
Hello, What I am trying to accomplish is use a lowband Desktrac (33.70) and link via a rick or other controller to a CDM750 VHF. The desktrac currently has a Zentron Paging encoder attached to it but this could be moved to the accesory 20 pin connector on the RICK correct? Basically what I would nee...

Re: Cross Band With a Maratrac
The way I read it Pin 9 drives the Busy LED and the Squelch Knob. If I tap into that and put it to pin 2 on the programing jack I should have everything correct? Also would this work because the radio is a low band with the squelch knob and all channels are carrier squelch.

Re: Cross Band With a Maratrac
Go to Repeater Builder and download the Maratrac service manual. Mic audio, PTT, ground, and handset audio/RX audio can be pulled off the interconnect board. You can use the busy light line as an active-high COR, or since the radio runs off a normal 5-pin Maxtrac logic board you can derive active l...

Cross Band With a Maratrac
Hello all I was contacted today about a project requesting a lowband Maratrac to be cross banded with a CDM1550 VHF using a rick type interface. The person I normally (kurt@MRE) buy the repeater interfaces through says that this can not be done. He said the the Maratrac does not have carier detect i...

Re: Radio Coverage Map Help
Ok it is going to be brand new units on an existing tower. I would guess maybe 1 DB loss for the cross. Mobiles will be CDM1250 Lowband at 60 Watts with the standard spectrum antenna. CDM1550 LS for VHF at 45 Watts with 3 DB Gain antennas. Hope that helps. Thanks for trying for me.

The county I am in uses Desktrac base/reapter units at all stations. These rebroadcast the departments tones after the county sends them out. Re: CP200-PR400 Silent Monitor until tone alert? Possible?
What we have done alot for those and HT's is to have a dispatch channel and the a PAGER channel where the pager channel does just what it says also some have auto rest or some will beep until PTT is pressed. Many different alert tones and alot louder than a Minitor.
