Re: APX6000 "AN" End-of-Life announcement

What's new in the BN/enhanced models? Since the APX8000 form factor was the same as the AX6000, it made sense from a manufacturing standpoint for Motorola to use the same, newer hardware in both platforms, and firmware limit the APX6000 to a single band. So now it's wi-fi capable, bluetooth 4.0 com...

When I was at APCO close to three years ago, the Motorola folks told me they were working on a P25 pager, in response to the Unication product. However, haven't heard a peep about it since! Not sure if they were blowing smoke, or if it just died during the exploratory R&D phase.

Gatekeep may very well be right, since a delay circuit would require power from somewhere. If so, jumpering pins 10 & 13 in the Chinese RX cable end *should* fix it, as that's where the switched V+ is in the CDM. It is also Pin 13 in Maxtracs, but they may have gone with the first pin they found...

If it works properly in 'regular' mode, but still unmutes in scan mode, try checking off "carrier detect required" in the Scan Wide screen. Not sure if it will make a difference as the help isn't very detailed on it, but it may.

100% agree with Bill on this. Your antenna is way too close, not enough isolation. The duplexer could be doing it's job perfectly, but your antenna radiating so close is effectively causing the repeater to see enough RF on it's receiver, with proper PL/DPL, to think it's a valid signal. If completel...

If it just flashes several times then does a full red cycle, it means the batteries were discharged to the point that the charger couldn't discharge them any further, and so it put them through a full rapid charge cycle.

Use a 1uF capacitor on the audio lines, and a diode on the COR lines. Gallenium & Selenium diodes only drop about .3-.4 volts, so the SVR should still see it as a valid COR.
