Re: SPECTRA A3
I am using a straight through DB25 cable from a computer supplier with no problem. I'm only using a 2 foot cable so I cannot tell you that a longer cable will work, but I'd bet on it. The speaker audio doesn't go through the same cable on the A3. The newer A3 uses a round cable that you might have ...

Re: Spectra Convert from A7 to A3
Thanks. With apologies for the simplicity of this question...is changing out the front panel a plug in process or would some mods be needed? I'm trying to decide between repairs to an existing A3 model vs a god deal on an A7 and moving the front panel of the current A3. Thanks again.

Spectra Convert from A7 to A3
Does anyone have any experience converting a Spectra A7 to A3? Is any conversion necessary or might one be able to use the A3 control head on the A7 radio with the limited features of the HHCH(A3)?

Re: Spectra HHCH Operation
I've obtained a "Spectra Control Head Operations Instructions" card. If anyone would like a copy of it, I'd be pleased to scan it and send it to you. I don't see a way to attach it to a message or my limited new user rights don't allow it. Just send me a PM. I'd still like to get hold of a copy of ...

Re: "aftermarket" batteries (ebay)
W&W makes a good replacement battery too. I've used a lot of their batteries with just failure and they replaced it with no hassle whatsoever.

Re: Spectra HHCH Operation
The control head is a HCN1053A. The right switch is labeled off, on, DIR.. This is the power on/off switch and I believe DIR was intended for talk around.
Thanks for your help,
Mark

Re: Spectra HHCH Operation
Yes. Spectra (not Astro). Press and hold the scan switch displays "SE" so I'm trying to determine that I can do here. Also wondering about nuisance mode delete, whether there is an option for talk back scan that I may not be properly identifying in the RSS and any other options that are controlled ...

Spectra HHCH Operation
Can anyone tell me how to use the controls on the Spectra Hand Held Control Head (HHCH) to change the scan list, change priority, etc.? Pressing and holding the scan switch shows "SE" on the display. Can anyone explain this operation? Perhaps share a scan of the key instructions?
Thanks,
Mark
