IIRC, on my HT1000 RSS, you can ONLY choose ONE signaling type. So since you want to use GE-Star on the neighboring agency, thats fine, but if your agency uses MDC, I don't think you can mix the two (as far as HT100 goes) However, I do know that the MT2000 does allow multiple signaling personalities...

While in some states (I kno it is true in IN, not sure if their is a fed. law on it) it is illegal to monitor other frequencies for personal gain, the dispatcher must know nothing of scanners....
