464.500/464.550 sounds cool.
Already have a licence for those freq's down here, so that would be COOL!!! IF we can get enought interest in that, then I do believe Motorola would like to get involved too, since we would no doubt be using Motorola Equipment. They would probobly be interested in ...

If I were in your spot, then I would definitely try and stick with a Jedi series radio, preferably a MT2000 A7. Reason being that your your accessories and batteries that work on the HT, will work on the MT.

I would definitely stay away from any of the Pro series rig's. Don't trust a chinese ...

Interesting thred.

Mother "M" has started to do more of what other large comapanies do when they want more money:
Come out with a couple new lines of Chinese built rig's. i.e. Pro series.

Gone are the days of Quality. Gone are the days of useing your HT to open walnuts with. Try doing that with a ...

You know, I would just LOVE to see what would happen to a person wearing that stuff in a thunderstorm on a open feild. It's bad enough lightning likes the tallest object for attaining ground, but i don't think the conductivity of those undergarments will be very condusive to a long life.
I smell ...

In my Kendoo Experence, I would say they rank down there quite far. I have had noting but bad luck with those darn things. For one, they burn up while charging at a normal rate. Second, the cells don't seem to hold their charge very well. I had a couple of them that were bought new, and the cells ...

Since I happen to personally know MRFLASHPORT, I can tell you he very well knows what the XTS line is capable of. He better. While is's not within the scope of this board to elaborate, he knows. The MTS 2000, however, can be flashed to read MDC ID. My neighbor has a MT2000, and I page the heck out ...

I can offer a few different things regarding small radio's such as the Visar line, and the new EX series.
There seems to be a bit of a issue with Visar antenna mounts coming loose from regular use, just like some of the older model MT2000's.
Another issue that is true of all small full wattage HT's ...

APCO 25 will not pass through a non-digital repeater like it would a analog machine. Myself and several of my buddies take our XTS's and Astro's and try to do it all the time, but it won't work. If you can get a signal into the machine, it won't carry the digital data packets. You will just hear ...

I think Securenet might be standard on this one. APCO 25 will be a option. I think the girlie pink was made to frighten the bad-guys away.
It's motorola's new anti-criminal defense mechanism. It's the latest and greatest "walkie-talkie" they make.

Most police woulden't care what the radio looked like, just as long as when they pushed the button, it talked. Great design. I wonder if these are Flashport....maybe it's gonna be a future enhancement. Who knows

The radio's might need to be realigned by a Tech. If radio "B" has been abused or is a little older, then it woulden't be a surprise that there is that problem. Another thing that might be a possibility is a loose connection to the antenna or some broken solder somewhere. Many different ...
