XTS2500 board and buttons
Looks like I may have a bad transmit button on my XTS2500i. The buttons are
connected to the board. Is there anyway to replace the button or do you have to
replace the board. If the board is replaced, does the radio firmware have to be
updated and all that? Or is firmware and flash stored somewhere ...

Re: XTS2500 transmit problem
Just a quick update. The problem has been fixed. I read another post about a similar problem with a XTS2500 button. They fixed the problem just playing with the button with the radio out of the case. I figured I would give it a shot. Before taking the radio out of the case, I pressed the PTT button ...

Re: XTS2500 transmit problem
When you say off, do you mean make sure its not checked in the personality. When I go under the advanced tab on radio wide, it says surveillance is per personality.

Re: XTS2500 transmit problem
Yeah it is strange. Works great when I use my hand mic. Transmits fine. I took the radio out of the case and the button appears to be working fine, well appears to be anyway.

Re: Astro Saber III Private call
Thanks guys for the info. Like I said I have owned a few Astro Saber III's in the past and it wasnt even an issue. So I'm still scratching my head. I have wondered if it may be a issue with the latest version of the CPS. Honestly it would be a little bit of a pain to test that theory. Any other ...

I have an Astro Saber III 800mhz, 1 meg board, P25 Digital, smartzone package, 9600 ect..... I was curious about the private call option under the trunking menu. I have the newest version of CPS ordered from Motorola. The option for private call is showing disabled and is greyed out. I have owned ...

Smartzone radio ids
Have a Smartzone radio id question for the experts. I work with a police agency and we operate on a 800mhz smartzone system. Of course I have a dept radio with an assigned radio id for the system. Being that I love radios and I bought a better radio than issued and had it programmed on the system ...

XTS2500 firmware
I have a XTS2500 and a Astro Saber III. I was curious what it would take to upgrade to the latest firmware on these models. I have a legal subscription to the CPS for both radios through Motorola. Is this something I can do with the CPS and programming cable and RIB if needed? Does this require the ...

Re: HT1250LS+ error
OK...good news !!! Problem solved. The errors seemed to be while using the newest version on the CPS. When I switched to the older CPS version 6.04.00 there was no problem reading or writing codeplugs. Must be bugs in the newest version. Hope this helps somebody.

Re: HT1250LS+ error
OK I'll try it. The only problem I have is that it is a new radio to me and I dont have an old codeplug with this serial number. I made the stupid mistake of not saving it as soon as I read it. The model number of the radio is AAH25RDH9DP6AN. If anybody has an idea on a codeplug that will work ...

Tunking OSW??????
Will different radios have different OSW values on the same system. It was my understanding that the OSW was a value set by the system. More specific will a XTS2500 and a Astro Saber II have a different OSW program value being used on a Type II Smartnet Trunking system?

When programming the control channels in as conventional I was not getting anything. I checked it with the tuner and a frequency counter and determined that the radio is TX and RX about .063 high.
