Re: APX8500 Trunking Menu Items disappear on different zones+
Thanks for replying. I fixed my problem by taking another personality of trunked talkgroups that had the buttons that I wanted, copied it and replaced the TG's with mine and that fixed it.

APX8500 Trunking Menu Items disappear on different zones+
I set menu items in Ergonomics under trunking menu items but in certain zones the items disappear ie. Nuisance Delete, Scan, etc. But when I return to other zones, they show up. I setup my scan list also.

APX NEXT can now be end user programmed
You need R04.22.00 FW and APX v26.0 CPS and an APX programming cable. However, there are implications once you "read/write" to the radio, it appears to drop out of Radio Management/Radio Central and the serial number will have to be re-added to the fleet RM. We (radio techs) got special pe...

i suggested taking the NEXT AC drop-in charger and running it in the vehicle with an inverter until Motorola decides to make a single mobile drop-in. I'm not familiar with the ION radios whether the foot print is similar and maybe Motorola will make a charger for it.

My opinion would opt for the WARIS (HT600, P200, MT100) radios would be my first choice, then non-keypad JEDI as a second. Sabers since they are slimmer than the others have a weak point on the battery slide which can snap off

Did you solve this???? Its been a long time, but I seem to remember that once you edit the codeplug and get your frequencies inputted, do not read the radio again, but rather save the codeplug and edit it as required, and rewrite it back into the radio. The trick is to keep track of your file by dat...
