I have used R8000A for one year and it sucks,tracking generator is very slow,no duplex either for DMR.I work for the state now and we use 3920,excellent piece of equipment.

We in the state shop fixed them on daily bases, if isn't flex then go replace the head and if that does not help next is this part that like I said fails always.Actually it is not that hard to replace it.

You need to replace MUX PN#5114000C11,that is 99% of the time what goes wrong with the XTL2500 when you have FL01/90.

Look at RF board for 10mf close to the R633 and make sure that resistor is properly soldered and replace that cap and all other ones.

I agree with you 100%,we have brought up that issue to the big M and guess what,it has not been done yet anything at all.It looks that Motorola only cares how much will they sell,no more great support and we are left on our own.

The only way to do that if you can`t find replacement CRT is what we use to do it at TVs is to put few turns of thin wire around flyback and then unsolder two wires from heater and solder those wires back to CRT board.It should have little more voltage to bring your brightness up but there is no gua...

No actually I tried to order pouch case for IFR 2947 and it is $1000 and the handle that broke even they claim quality is $370. IFR is just big time rip of company that doing to everybody.

That error is programming error if you turn off radio while wrighting CP.I had many sabers with that error and just reprogram with new built CP and was good to go.
