Re: Keeping the Private Messaging (PM) System

Keep it. I know the system isn't private, but it is useful. There are times where someone might simply post "oh, and I have a bunch of parts for ____, contact me with what you're looking for." If I'm just trying to establish whether or not they have what I want, a PM is fine. Many deals do...

Re: motorola R2600 flashing led... help!!

Not handy, sorry, I don't currently have a 2600 but I've worked with them a fair bit. I believe the manuals are still available, though. Many power supply failures are obvious on visual inspection. Make sure all connectors are clean and tight, and then take apart the PS and visually inspect it for b...

Re: motorola R2600 flashing led... help!!

Check the internal/external reference switch, make sure it's working on the internal position. If that doesn't clear it, and you don't have a 10 mhz external reference you can use... Then I'd try checking the power supply over. Start with a visual inspection looking for stressed or leaky caps, and a...

Re: GP300/GTX Portable/etc. quick charger NTN9630B

As I recall from years of running 300s, 110s, GTXs, etc. the top-rated battery for these units is somewhere under 2 Amps, so the max current a charger would draw would be in the area of 200 ma. The input voltage could be 12 to 15VDC, which is brought to the proper charging voltage by a regulator in...

GP300/GTX Portable/etc. quick charger NTN9630B

I tried searching, didn't find anything for NTN9630 or 9630B.

I've run into a lot of these chargers sans wall warts.

The connector appears to be a standard coaxial DC power connector, probably 2.1 or 2.5mm.

Does anyone know what the wallwart for these is rated for (voltage/current)?

Thanks!

Re: motorola R2600 flashing led... help!!

Do you have a 10 MHz oscillator you can plug in to the input and set it for external clocking?

They won't boot without a reference signal. If the internal reference is out or the switch has gotten dirty, it may refuse to turn on.

Re: Motorola R2600 Not Working, help!

I'm thinking rf was sent into the I/O port while R2600 was generating a signal and it blew something (*&^%$#@!) Help please... David, If that happened, you blew something alright... ... check the fuses in the I/O RF connectors for continuity with a DVM. I will say, they are a mite expensi...
