xts 5000 service mode!
OK... So when I power my XTS5000 on, and press the button on the side 5 times, it takes it into service mode. Re: Emergency button xts 5000
The red button can be programmed for several different functions, but if it's unprogrammed you'll get the low-frequency "boop" when you press it. My preference is to use it for Nuisance Delete because it saves you having to fumble for the correct side button when you need to do the ND fun...

Emergency button xts 5000
Can anyone tell me what is going on?
I press the red emergency button on the motorola xts 5000, it gives me a big fat BOOP, instead of the series of beeps and boops it gives me with my other radios.
is this an issue, or does it just need to be programmed?

Re: Programming cable?
Ok, because I bought a adapter for the VGA port to suit the normal cables. But I haven't found any cables with a USB end yet.

Re: millennium 911ep
Yes, I did, with San Diego Fire-Rescue, on Medic 40, we were responding, all our code lights went out, except for the wig-wag headlights. It turned out to be something in the wiring board, either the wiring, shorted out, or grounding problems.

Programming cable?
OK. So I have a Compaq Presario CQ56, and there is no serial port. Just the monitor out port, which is a female port. I want to buy a programming cable for my XTS 5000, but I noticed all of them are a female port as well. What kind of adapter do I need to make this work? I really want to program my ...
