Re: XPR7550 and 3500 programming
I take it you took the single cable from the 'target' section? The cable is black here in the UK, not yellow... Just wanted to confirm before I take the soldering iron to the cable

Re: XPR7550 and 3500 programming
The 'ground' is the only difference... The 'A' version took the ground from the 'target circle' above the main pins. The 'B' version takes the ground from an actual pin- as the new 4000(UK)/7550(US) series has no 'target'. I have been told it IS possible to open the connector up in the 'A' programmi...

Re: PC not seeing DP4601 via programming cable...
Just a quick update on this... If I change the cable type in the CPS to 'Rear PC & Audio' the programming cable works. However this means there is no audio from the radio itself... Atleast when I get around to a new FW update I CAN read/write via the cable. Bit of a pain in the backside as I hav...

Re: PC not seeing DP4601 via programming cable...
Just relaised that somehow I managed to put DP4601 as the title rather than DM4601... Just to confirm this is a mobile, not a portable. I have tried on a 'fresh' computer with no success, looks like its going to be a case of waiting for a solution from M. Luckily I can still make any alterations via...

Re: PC not seeing DP4601 via programming cable...
Yes, I have tried powering all networking connections off with no success... I am going to try on a 'fresh' computer and see if that makes any difference at all. I have a feeling this is a Firmware issue though due to the fact that if i change the cable type the radio shows up on Device Manager and ...

PC not seeing DP4601 via programming cable...
Hi chaps, I am using a DP4601 (XPR5550) in the UK. Before updating to the latest FW (R02.04.00) I had no issues, now I am only able to programme via Bluetooth and the PC is not recognising/seeing the radio when trying to use a programming cable... I have checked the 'cable type' in the CPS which is ...

Re: New Thin Trbo Prep
I got my SL4000 yesterday... FPP is also locked down here in the UK (EMEA), not quite sure why we have been 'locked down', but even using the 'dealer' setting I can only access as already described and nothing more.

Re: New Thin Trbo Prep
Here in the UK we are loking at 525 GBP, which for us is the same price as a DP3601 (GPS enabled). I really like the style and appearance of the radio and think it will do well in the executive market in the UK. A large percentage of TRBO users in the UK are made up of what we call 'shopwatch scheme...

Re: What Share Of The U.S. Non-Government Market Is MOTOTRB
It would be very interesting to see some international sales figures from Motorola. Over here in the UK TRBO has really become 'the norm', many systems have changed over from analogue and Motorola seems to have the majority of the market share without doubt. Unlike the US ALL of 'our' emergency/gove...

Re: MOTOTRBO AirTracer--What Does It Do?
I have found a Hex calc (thanks to Google)... So now I understand how you make the calculation! I have had a look at the Airtracer file in Wordpad and have many strings of digits and letters. How exactly do you determine which string holds this information? I did a search for 001800000B2 and had sev...

Re: MOTOTRBO AirTracer--What Does It Do?
Hi Pump3,
Can you explain how you calculate the Hex combination?
i.e. How do you work out 02710 = 10000? 000063 = 99?
I am sure this is a very basic calculation. however my knowledge of Hex is not amazing.
Many thanks in advance from accross the pond!
