Re: Centracom Gold Elite Patching XTL5000 Consolette
Thank you for taking the time to answer; I am in a bad spot operationally until I get this resolved.
The XTL5000 is located about 150' away from the CEB and is connected via 4-wire control. Once at the CEB the audio is picked off of a punch block anddistributed to a BIM which brings the resource ...

Q: DIU300, Centracom Elite- Logging Recoder Audio

In other words, the best available ...

Mounting Antennas in Trees- Ideas?
Considering some temporary options here and using a 100' pine tree to mount a PD201 for a few months/up to year or so.
Looking for any ideas that have been successfully used in the past. Anyone done this?
I did years ago using some super heavy rubber bungies and some chain on a roof mount/mast ...

Hate to throw this into the mix, I know nothing about the geography of Minnesota (the land of 10K lakes and 1K fish I am told) but is it possible that these folks are using your county as a test site?

99 Ch GM300
Scholler-Johnson in Florida makes/made LTR boards for these radios. Used in conventional mode they make the radio 99 channels with no aliasing......poke around inside and look for an after market addition.

If you are a member of a military company or your company has a DODAC then a perhaps a screeninh trip to your local DRMO would be a real cost effective trip. It is true that DRMO's are hit & miss but it might be worth a try. You might even find you old PRCs there.

Scholer-Johnson made a board that did this.
I know this is an ancient thread but- Scholer-Johnson made a kit that converted the GM300 into a 99 channel radio.
I have seen seen working radios with the conversion already done in them. I think Scholer-Johnson was or is in Florida. Never done business with them myself. Google says Scholer ...

Lie to program about Windows Version to Make Excuteable.
As some of you might remember ,there USED to be a feature in Windows allowing one to "lie" to a particular program about what version of Window it was being actually being executed under. E.g. - a win 3.11 program you could "lie" under win95/98 and make that program think it was still in 3.11 ...
