Re: Bricked HT1000?
SOrry to revive this thread, but do you get a beep when the radio powers up? I did fix my issue where the radios would not read and it turned out to be bad grouding to the backplate. After I fixed the ground issue, the radios did beep on startup and programming worked fine.

Re: HT1250 Won't Transmit
First check if the programmed TX frequency is right or the PL tone os good. If it is a repeater channel, program it in simplex and try to talk with another radio nearby. If it does work, output power may be bad If it still does not work, the transmitter may have gone out of aligment and needs to be ...

MCX1000 DTMF MIC(VLN1017A ) for GM300?
Hi there, I was wondering if I could use an MCX1000 DTMF Microphone (Part number VLN1017A) on a GM300 (or maxtrac) mobile radio? I read on the Maxtrac batlab page that they are almost identical but could not find pin-outs to confirm. The connector is the same but wiring colors do not match in the co...

Re: Bricked HT1000?
According to this model number it seems to be a regular non-display VHF HT1000 with Narrow band. your issue is interesting because I bought a small lot of surplus UHF Ht1000 from the gov't and they also have this issue. Although mine have a user applied label saying A=Crypted but I cannot find anyth...

Re: OLD Radio Uses? Sabers / Systems Sabers etc
Here in Canada these would still be useful since Narrowband rules don't apply. Some fire Departments and public workers would could really use some radios like the sabers since they just won't die off like newer and cheaper radios.

I also have seen a similar setup in an ambulance with A Kenwood mobile and a Motorola telephone style handset connected in the back of the ambulance.

Wavetar, problem is the 'timer' has been tried and that resulted in a bunch of burned up batteries. Even Kenwood and ICOM radios and chargers. I'm sure your mod works fine, but so does the timer method if set as described. Subtracting 23 hours a day from the trickle charge, or charging once a week ...

Gp300/P110 Ni-Mh Battery Pack
Hello guys, I'm kind of a noob here and to radios at all. The problem is since my ...
