Well, filed the Paypal dispute and I got stuck holding the bag. He insisted that I swapped the boards out of the carriers and I had to eat the money. He's a crook and a jerk. Oh well, karma will get him. Anybody need a couple of DVP-XL modules in DES-XL/OFB carriers?

Hi,
Right out of the service manual:

FAIL 01/79 External Emergency switch has been pressed while radio is off

Possible source- Emergency Power Up is not enabled in the codeplug

Hi,
When keyloading, it is my understanding, that you DO need all 4 wires. The module has t o have 2 way communication with the KVL. That's how you get the pass or fail on the KVL.

Do you have another Jedi radio you can try to read? I had a similar problem before and it was my radio to rib cable. Also make sure the battery on the radio is fully charged and a fresh 9 volt in the rib.

I checked the Jedi and XTS3000 service manuals and they list the same RF amp part number for both radios, here it is just in case you need it, 5105329v20. I thought they looked similar when I opened the XTS.

Hi, When you put the 146-172 codeplug, it makes the VCO unlock. The modules do not go very far out as was stated earlier. Hi,
Look in the conventional screen in CPS and you will find on one of the tabs a high power check box. When I got my 3000 I added the power soft key to the menu so I can switch from high to low when I need to.

Genuine Moto RIB and genuine Moto cable. The funny thing is, it wrote just fine when I wrote a cp earlier, it was just when I added the 4 astro channels.
