Well, filed the Paypal dispute and I got stuck holding the bag. He insisted that I swapped the boards out of the carriers and I had to eat the money. He's a crook and a jerk. Oh well, karma will get him. Anybody need a couple of DVP-XL modules in DES-XL/OFB carriers?

Encryption question
Hello, I purchased 2 encryption modules on ebay, I know, I know, anyway. I got the modules, they are supposed to be NTN8967D DES-XL DES-OFB modules for Astro Saber/Astro Spectra. I loaded them in my radios and they come up in the service menu as DVP XL modules. The guy I bought them from says he is ...

I agree with MTS2000des, try the boot to command prompt only first. I hate to say it, but i think the Pentium 4 is going to be too fast. If I remember correctly, the fastest I've ever run that RSS on was a Pentium 2. Look and see if you can find an old laptop with a Pentium 2 in it, they should be c...

That the bad part, the connector on the keyfill end is a nice connector, hate to sacrifice it, but if it's worthless, a chopping I will go. I bought it because the Saber end has all the contacts populated and it was only 5 bucks. Looks like a perfect candidate for an Astro Saber programming cable! T...

Need help id'ing a cable
Hi, I picked up a cable at the Whorefest in Orlando over the weekend and I need some help with an id on it. It is model number TKN8517A. It has a full pinned saber connector on one end and a 5-pin looks like press on connector on the other. I haven't had a chance to pin it out with my meter yet. It ...

Pins 4, 5, and 6 need to be tied together. Helped a buddy of mine build one weekend before last. Had to drill the holes out and epoxy in the pins. It works like a champ. Could you read the radio before this or is it a new one? I have encountered this before and I did a re-seat of the cable on the radio and it fixed it. I have also had, just as Doug suggested, a bad housing flex. Something else to try, just for grins, restart the computer and try the CPS again. For s...

I went ahead and built a 440-470 codeplug and wrote it to the radio with the 403-430 modules still in it and then I changed modules and whiz bang it worked like a champ. I did have to re-align it with my service monitor, but that didn't take long. Go...

Hi, It sounds like someone removed the channel select knob and didn't replace the stop. There is a small metal piece that goes on there that makes the knob stop at 12. Not a big deal. Hello all, I have a question that has been keeping me up nights. My friend and I have identical XTS3000s. Astro model IIIs. Hi, When you put the 146-172 codeplug, it makes the VCO unlock. The modules do not go very far out as was stated earlier. When you change the bandsplit it shifts the internal freq also and the lower split modules will NOT work, believe me, I tried to get it to work too and NADA. Good luck, Lowry K4RUR

Hi, I have a question that is confounding me. I am trying to write a CP to my XTS3000. I spent several hours writing a CP that the radio took. It had one Astro channel in it.
