Their is mention on this board that a system in MD may be setting up some type of TDMA system on trunking. This may be what you are thinking about in lieu of MotoTRBO.

Equipment that was certified prior to 2002 would be type accetped as long as it falls within the guidelines and is part 90 certified as well.

I was speaking of searching for the software in the catalog. Lets say I can pull up a JT1000 in the browse and then click on software and there is the RSS/CPS for it. Now if lets say I am looking for Astro Saber software I do not see a software tab and I have to do a search using search terms to fin...

The question is now does your system require you to use some of the proprietary formats even on a 7.1xx system that you are using? If you are not then this fancy Thales may still not be for you. You can bet

XMO already offered up the price in this thread.
With the conventional package and a charger the radio will probably list at around $3500, add another $900 to upgrade to the trunking package.
