Simulcast

We have multiple simulcast systems in our area, U, V and 800. The MAIN advantage to simulcasting is this - penetration! With one transmitter site you will get good on street coverage, but your talk out will suffer inside buildings (malls, restraunts, office buildings).

The voting system will help ...

 I have a Astro S III, that when I read it, it came up a type II. I am not sure wh, it is not a hacked radio.

I had some old lab and blew in a III CP, and now I lost my CAI IMBE DSQ option. Gained keypad and MODAT, and lost what Ireally wanted, the 25 capability.

I think I need a new CP (Type ...

I am looking for a flash code 1000010000007 codeplug (IMBE) Saber III. Do you possibly have one? Just a blank codplug might help me "revive" my radio. Thanks, Mark

Just my quick and limited thoughts. Have both a 3k and a 5kR. The 5k, which is really loaded with features (up to 512 talkgroups), has a real time clock, and of couse both will do IMBE.

I like my 5k better, it just feels better in my hand. Athough they use the same battery, it just feels like a ...

Astro Saber III Help, Please

 I have an Astro Saber III, 7.0, does Astro, everything just fine. Sticker on the radio was an H04SDH9PW7AN, but when I read the radio, it comes us as an SDF, which does not allow me to use the DTMF pad. Since I will use this for listening to 25 stuff and as a HAM radio, I was really looking ...

IS - Insurance, indeed

 Yes, the evil green. I work for a gas utility, and guess what, our STX's were bought IS, before I was in the comm group.

I am asked the question all the time, what does that mean? Can I carry it inside a gaseous enviorment? My reply is always the same. When that radio left the factory, with ...
