Re: Plantronics headset on APX Consollette
Why not just use the Headset Jack sold for use on the APX/MCD series ? Connections for up to two headsets are provided at the rear panel of the Consolette. The two RJ45 connectors are designed specifically for the Headset Jack Box (FHN7470_) in conjunction with the Headset Amplifier Module Base with...

MTR3000 Mixed Mode
So I am just verifying that I am not missing something. I have a MTR3000 with mixed mode. The only setting I find for digital is color code. Is there no place to put a talk group ? Or is it not needed ? In the subscriber do i just pick one and it repeats that ?

Max you can scan is 16 channels per list. You set the scan list per the personality. All group scan is trunking. System scan is what you are using.

I have 4 of these controllers on 4 GR1225 Rack mount repeaters. Had alot of trouble with noise and static at the site i am at. Solution was to wire both TX and RX audio out of the 16 pin connector with shielded wire. Shield went to ground. Solved 99% of the issues for me. Strange part was these repe...

Used many of the QM kits over the years, and even some of the QM2 kits. Never had many issues with them. Did install one GM300 with the factory kit but ribbon cable got pinched. It wasn't the best cable but the concept was fine. I still have some old QM1 kits floating around from removals and such.

One of the things we did with our APX radios was set up conventional talk group scan on our VHF channels. This allows us to hear dispatch if they call when we are on the VHF channel. We still can't hear the VHF while in Priority scan on the trunked system but until we are on scene we don't use the V...

Thanks GPS is not used. They use the standard speaker mic (non-public safety). I'm going to drop off a UHF and 800 Mhz whip and have him try each. He never uses 800 and if he did it would take 15 minutes to find the right bank for it, so think the UHf may be perfect for him.
