Odd: unable to edit AS2 codeplug in CPS 4.00.000

A friend that has never used CPS before just called me with an odd problem. He can read the radio (AS2) with no problem, but CPS will not let him change any field values. He says they’re “grey”, which to me means they’re display only fields. It’s a new CPS install. Any ideas for me to troubleshoot t...

My AS2 has behaved this way since 1997! It's been slowly driving me nuts all this time...

So, the consensus is that there's no way to adjust the threshhold in an AS?

Astro Saber II to III

My Astro Saber Model II housing was starting to get bunged up, so I re-housed it into a Model III housing.

What do I need to do to enable a hot keypad for calling and paging IDs not in my list? I tried an archive search, but I’m obviously not searching on the right keywords.

Good question - I thought that was enabled on a mode-by-mode basis, but I'll check.

Thanks, all, for the comments - yes, it's secure equipped, so the concentric is already taken.

XTS3000 Mod 1 - LED flash during scan?

I'm new to these non-display radios, so I need to ask...

Is there any way to make the LED flash when in scan? It's a :o to tell what the radio's doing without a display, and I'd really hate to give up two zones just to slave the ABC toggle to scan functions.

T3020 KVL - how do I tell if it's already been upgraded?

I picked up a pair of T3020 DES KVLs today, and have a suspicion they may have been upgraded based on some comments made by the seller. They're marked as BX models. Each has a double board (I've heard some KVLs have three). There's a label "TRN 4974A" on one chip on the second (i.e. not mo...

Actually, it doesn't say anything beyond the part number...and it appears to be the original label.

I THINK it's DES-XL only, but I'm not sure about the multikey part.

NTN1153D - it's DES-XL for an Astro Saber. I've been using it for about a year.

What functionality do I lose by going from a full keypad case to a limited keypad one on a HT1250? From reading posts about changing from limited to full, it seems this...

I have a UHF Astro Saber II that has been giving me fits. I've had it since 2/97. I'm having oddball problems: 1. The low battery icon comes on after only three or so hours of scanning (no TX).
