I know this can be done, an agent I work with fairly often got a civie Impala last year and the dealer actually worked this one for him. I don't know what is involved in the setup, but he has a cut-out switch that works exactly like the one in my package car.

I've used the SVP version with pretty decent results. It's not too big and about the easiest install you'll ever do. Amplifier is decent sounding, and the unit was reliable and covert. It's not Unitrol, but it does the job.

Uses for this car will be mostly surveilance type stuff and admin./supervisor vehicle. The idea is to keep it simple and inexpensive, and of course not draw attention. Unfortunately its a civilian car which is going to make hooking up that Sho-Me headlight flasher a pain.

Thanks folks. I read somewhere on the board that the Sound-Off basically plugs into the harness behind the passenger side headlight, and on the civilian model you simply have to run the wire for switching. If anyone can confirm this I'll be all set!
