Has anyone had any problems with the antenna staying on the pr860 portables? I just sold 2 and it seems like the antenna stud is not long enough to stay on the radio. When you twist the antenna on the top it will only turn about a quarter turn and if they are bumped and turned a little they fall off ...

Motorola Radio Error
I am getting an error on a syntor/maratrac radio that is saying "error 6/10" when you turn the radio on. After a few minutes in disappears. Anyone know what this is?

Minitor II Problem
Just installed a new board that I recieved from a pager repair shop. customer told me that the low battery alert keeps going off. Customer stated that he tried new batteries and the problem still persists. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the quick reply. I looked at the bottom of the pager and the id tags are missing off the housing. Is the model number stamped on the pager board anywhere?

Well, they do have speaker mics for the radio but do not use them anymore so that not the problem...but good point. I also suggested the speaker mic with the antenna on the mic head but, I am not really sure if that is going to make a difference. Their mobile radio is a CDM1250, Will a R.I.C.K. work ...

Yes, I know I am not really good and getting my point across. We are currenlty on Vhf freq. Officer can get out on there mobiles but, not as well on the portables. The place that they are really bad are inside of a residence. Pretty bad huh, when the tower is in sight of the house.

My local police deparment wants to put a repeater in the cruiser to have better rx and tx clairty and better overall range. the radio that they currently have in the car is a cdm1250. What is the best way to go for the install and what parts do I need. Any suggestions?

The pager has never been exposed to water that I know of. That is what puzzles me? And if it was it was a real small amont. The pager works it just that when it gets bumped the battery gauge goes low and the light is real dim.

Just reprogrammed the codeplug and the pager still doesn't work. Guess I have to send it back to get fixed. Now can I send it to Motorola or do I have to give it back to the dealer that we bought it from?

Well I just tried putting it on selection "c" which is the vibe and that didn't work either. Like I said the pager recieves fine so I dont think that it is the antenna.

No, Actually we have an tone encoder and I am trying to set it off as we speak and it will not go off. The guy who owns the pager states that it worked and then just stopped alerting.
