That was it. I replaced it with a board from an old 800 MHz parts radio. The 800 stuff is good for something lol. Fired right up and worked just fine. In use at my FD today. (Volunteer FD)

I have a VHF XTS 3000 that gives Fail 02/85 on power up.

Already checked the code plug. I wrote it myself. I have bee through 15 of these, and Have found 8 with this same problem. Its almost like they are generation their own RF. Hello all, I have 5 or 6 XTS 3000 VHF Model 1's all with the same exact problem.
I don't get any audio on RX. Tx is perfect. All on Frequency and make full power.
But on the service monitor they are def as a post. Cant hear a thing.
Suggestions?

I have several VHF ASTRO Spectra High Power Radios I want to press into service. I have a few W3 heads but only 1 "Y cable". Has anyone tried to make a cable from a different type of 25 pair cable? i.e a W7 Cable... snicker. I know I can plug the mic directly into the radio but have no way...

OK gang I am still stuck, I still can not read the silly little repeater. I have the Factory Motorola RIB RLN4008E and made my cable per this diagram. http://www.batlabs.com/svr200.html But I still get SVR200 not responding. Update, I have discovered that the DOS software, available from the Pyramid website, will allow 440 MHz frequencies and 2 meter ones in the VHF version. I have 3 or 4 UHF 450-460 MHz P100s. I am attempting to get them down to 443???. I looked at the website but my archive files dont come out like the website suggests.
