16-tone (0-9 ABCD) Radius (CM200/300) DTMF Mic?
Does anyone know if such a thing exists (Motorola or not)? I currently have a RMN5029(A) mic with 12 DTMF+3 function buttons (but no ABCD): http://www.motorola.com/governmentandenterprise/il/en-us/public/functions/browseproduct/relatedaccessories.aspx?navigationpath=id_803i/id_1387i/id_1174i/id_2352...

Re: Leaving unprogrammed channels on an HT750?
Ok, figured it out. Indeed, if you highlight the whole row for the channel you want to delete, then "Delete" is available when you right click.
Works fine and gives a steady beep when the channel selector is rotated to one of the unprogrammed channels.

Re: Leaving unprogrammed channels on an HT750?
You can't do that. There is no "right click and delete" available. Just delete channel 3 and 4 in the personality assignment zone (Right click and delete) and the radio will give you that unprogrammed tone when the radio is set to that channel. I have an HT750 here that I'd like to program...

Re: Leaving unprogrammed channels on an HT750?
Thanks for confirming my suspicions. This limitation is a very bad thing IMO if the radio is to be used in an emergency situation by a not-so-radio-literate user.
Unfortunately it's UHF, so no NOAA.

Leaving unprogrammed channels on an HT750?
I have an HT750 here that I'd like to program with only channels 1 and 2. I want channels 3 and 4 to just give a steady "unprogrammed" tone. The CPS insists that I assign a personality to all 4 channels. Can this be done?

Re: XTS5000R & RMN5021B PSM Volume Resets

XTS5000R & RMN5021B PSM Volume Resets
Seems that when a RMN5021B PSM is used with the XTS500R (and maybe/likely others), the radio doesn't remember the last volume setting via the PSM after it's turned off and back on. Anyone know if there is a way around this, OR if there's some way to bypass the volume control on the mic and use the k...

Just curious, but why do all the hook-ups for the tone injection thing when you could just test it with speech, adjust, check again and be done with it in a couple of minutes? Indeed, the problem is the version 4 software. I adjusted the deviation as if it were narrow band, and then a "real world" test showed 4.5 kHz. I guess that'll do.

The deviation* is nearly 7 kHz when the soft pot is set to maximum (31) and about right (4.8 kHz) at 23. This is of course on the programmed personality (447 MHz), not on the 460.200 used during the adjustment. * "Measured" using the as-close-to-1 kHz-as-possible-feedback-into-microphone t...

The single personality I have programed is set for wide band (25 kHz) and X-Pand is disabled. When the radio is read for service, only 460.200 Mhz is used for the deviation adjustment. Is there some way to change the channel spacing used for the deviation adjustment?

I'm looking for some help adjusting the deviation on a M1225 mobile.
