You can pick up RX audio that is not affected by the volume control on pin 11 of the accessory connector. This is line level or there about and could be feed into a PA amp for the station or your remote adapter.

There is a fix for the W4, 5 and 7 series control heads. Move one jumper and add a resistor where the jumper was removed.

Always make sure you can read the radio FIRST. Save the 'codeplug' information to a safe place before making any changes so you can fall back if needed.

Are you running the HT1000 RSS in DOS only?

I can NOT say IF the 'battery eliminator' has a voltage regulator in it. I doubt they had a regulator, maybe a blocking/reverse polarity diode. These were used on the test bench. The dual banana plug was for DC input. You could measure the voltage on the 'battery contacts'. http://www.ebay.com/itm/N...

Actually the R1225 IS very different than the GM300 series. The high, 40 watt, PA has problems overheating even with the bigger heatsink, and the current sense resistor gets fried also. Have you checked that the CM300 accessory connecter is programed correctly?

RX audio needs to come off RX Filtered pin. TX mic source and PTT need to be set.

jmr061 is correct on the alignment. People jam in a codeplug and the alignment and calibration values are not correct for that radio.

You need to do a full alignment and calibration first.

The Transmitter coax cable connector is on the back of the R1225 chassis along with the power and 16 pin ACCY connectors.

The receiver antenna connector is on the front, along with the 'control head' connector.

Is it really a R1225 or just a couple of Radius radios in the box.

When the R1225 is set for external so called controller it may not send repeat audio due to programming. So: step 1 read the radio and check the accessory potions settings.

I break each radio down and test them by them self's. They should be Maxtracs.

Look carefully at the board behind the front panel for moisture ect.

You can get your radio "revived" but it takes flashing it. I send my 'bricks' to a fellow in Canada and they work just like new. I have to do a full alignment and calibration on them, because the tuning values are at default just like the factory radio before they do the alignment and cali...
