I have an H23BAM. It has date stamps inside from 1960. It's a hybrid of transistors & tubes. It still works. These ran on wet nicad battery packs. Mine has a conversion to allow it to run on externally provided 12 VDC. http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=108752&p=476390#p476390

Dispatch clock? We have no clocks in dispatch. All the computers have time sync'd to a master netclock. Dispatchers use CAD time for everything. That said, if you want a clock that for sure will show the same time as CAD, get one from your netclock vendor, for example: https://spectracom.com/product...

Re: Aeroflex (IFR) Questions

Here is a crucial question. Early 2975's have a two piece processor consisting of a carrier card that plugs into the 2975 motherboard and a piggyback computer with a jillion cross-connects. Later units have a one piece card. Several different hard drive sizes were apparently used. Will an image from...

Continuing with the earlier concept of replacing the 2975's hard drive with an SSD, I did try to replace my 40 GB drive with a 64 GB Kingspec SSD. No joy. I tried to put the image on the SSD with two different PC apps and I also tried a physical cloning hard drive workstation. This pretty much confi...

How do your dispatchers know when the problem occurs? Do field units call in on the phone and complain? Do you have a recorder connected at each position to the VPL logging port? You could try programming an in-band frequency and check the TX audio there.

RL = 23.6 dB which is close to an SWR of 1.5:1

At UHF a properly configured and operating antenna system will normally be better than that.

There wasn't enough space on the TOMI board for them to put receive audio circuitry.

For that reason, TOMI's are always paired with an AEI.

There is a 7-pair Y-cable used to get the audio from the AEI to the OP.
