I've considered doing this, but it would be more convenient to just have a front programming cable (I have 3 XPR-2500s that I can use it on). I may very well end up going this route though. Will wrote:Add the 'programming' leads to your existing connector and another jack for your programming cable.

PMKN4147 Cable Pinout
Does anyone happen to have/know the pinout for the PMKN4147 cable (for XPR2500 etc). It appears to just be a straight thru cable, and it pains me to drop $25 on something I can make here in 4 minutes. I've already made a rear cable, but for the radio that's mounted in my Jeep it's a pain in the butt...

I'm happy with my 2500 so far. Had Enhanced Privacy and IPSC added to it and everything works great. My biggest beef? During a call the icons stay in place on the top line, which seems to truncate the alias of the transmitting radio down to about 6 characters (unlike the 4500 etc where the alias use...

Are you only seeing this on the channel with Enhanced Privacy, or all channels? I have seen this happen on a channel using EP when signal is weak. I was doing some testing with a 6550 and a 4550, both using EP. As I approached the edge of the repeaters range I could seemingly TX with the 6550 (I cou...

It seems like the quick and easy way to put a stop to this would be to re-key the radios. DMRDecode will show you technical details of TRBO transmissions such as colour code, slot, group code and radio ID's but does not decode audio of any sort.
