So I hooked up the radio to a 30A PS with a current meter. The radio is only pulling approx 8 amps. Alignment time I guess.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll give them a try. The radio is hooked up to a ASTRON 20 AMP PS (15A continuous). I have a different higher rated supply that I will try.

Picked up a mid power XTL recently. I hooked it up to a meter and was expecting to see around 45-50 watts out. I'm seeing around 30. The power settings are set to 10 watts low and 53.5 for high. So if you use ohm's law you get the following 23.68/3.2 = 7.4 volts. I'd say your in the ball park.

Anybody notice that it's a little more sensitive to over deviation after the FW upgrade? Seems like my 7000 is clipping more than before on the Hammy freqs.

Add a monitor function to one of the side buttons. When you long press the monitor button a adjustable squelch option will appear on the display.

I am trying to set up a Minitor II for Set 8 (A-b, C-B) however there is no 3c3 jumper on the board. I am assuming that my board is a different revision than the one on the batlabs site. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!!!

Hello all, I have a VHF AS II that is Analog only, and a VHF AS I that is flashed for digital. I want to make the AS II digital. I think that all I need to do is swap the vocon board. Is there anything else that I need to do. Thanks for the help.

The XTS is a N. The AS is an A.

"A" means analog only, but the AS is transmitting digital. I can hear the data stream on my scanner.

Are you using a router? I had a D-Link wireless router that gave me the same problem that you are having. I had to download a firmware upgrade. Just a thought.

Seth, I had a similar problem. A VHF AS II would read 1 out of 5 times or so with CPS however a 800 XTS read fine. I never did figure it out.

The only way to tell is to read the radio using RSS, or take the radio apart and look for part numbers or freq info.
