GP300 Speaker/Mic - DC blocking capacitor?
I have a circuit diagram for a GP300 Speaker/Mic assembly but there is no DC blocking capacitor. Question;
Does the GP300 use an electret condenser mic insert and if so is the "blocking cap" in the radio itself?

As for the amateur radio bit try.....
As for the amateur radio bit of your posting go to http://www.rsgb.org and look for info on the M3 (foundation) licence and courses etc. Although a basic licence it will allow you to "play" radio, good luck with it and if you need more info just ask.

Why not try a "Heat Pump".....
Why not try a heat pump AKA Peltier Element. Affix it to the surface that still remains hot. Just an idea anyway (DO make sure you have it working the correct way around).

A friend is thinking of buying a GM300 for Ham use but needs to be able to send DTMF tones to open up his IRLP node, will a DTMF Mic work on a GM300 ? I presume it will but am checking for him before he spends a few Quid.
