Moto Special "Y" code to Zetron

Need to put in some all-call pages for a dispatch center I just switched from a CentraCom II to a Zetron 4048.

I am working with the following cap codes:

Y155
Y177
Y122
Y199
Y244

And for some reason I am consfusing the crap out of myself trying to program these in.

Just got a few of these in. Already having problems with them.

On our community repeater they will not decode DPL from MTR2000 with a model 38-MAX Repeater Panel.

Also we have had problems getting them to open up for the newer General Dynamics SVC MON's...

Audio Loading Issues

Started interfacing some phones into Zetron Headset Interface boxes and noticed that it is loading the mic audio level down pretty noticeable if you pick up the handset..earpiece doesnt seem so bad.


Any workaround for this or are they going to have to just deal with it?

Looking to get a MTR2000 VHF down into the ham band for a buddy of mine....

He realizes that he will lose performance and that really isnt that big of deal, just tryna get it down that far...

Ok, I am in the process of installing a 4048.

After doing all RX input alignments and level sets I get a CRAP load of audio at the 4217B panel....

Even if the Sel / Un-Sel knobs are only cracked open a 1/16 or something.... There seems to be no linear response to these volume controls...and no ...

I see what you are saying, however (and I am not sitting in front of the RDPS to navigate my way through) when I go to the card setup (where you input function tones, ect) there is a selection next to the label that says "Intercom" channel; when checked, you lose all programming parameters ...

Thanks for all the input.

Called Tech Support today, and just as usual got the superb service you spoke about previously.

They highly reccomend this LE-D model because it is inexpensive and very rugged.

It has an internal audio amp, and they reccommend running the channel in LOCAL mode, even ...

Ok, a few years ago, we had two squads role in with DTMF mics on VHF Maratracs.

For some reason the mic's had to be mod'd for I think it was PTT or something...cant recall...

They also had a problem with low modulation on the mic, which we was going to address after the DTMF PTT mod on the mic ...

well i was drinking a can of pepsi, and poured the whole can into my keyboard....worst of all...it was my laptop...

no pop got into the actual CPU....everything else was dry...

Looking for a remote to control a trunking (CDM1550+LS) radio as a control point on a zetron console...

a normal tone control will work fine, but the radio does not pass the go ahead beep or busy tone on pin-11, so you dont know when or if to talk.

yeh, i have had the same problem start popping up recently for a rural county engineer outpost...

their cdm1250s are in these old beater trucks with the worlds worst set of batteries...and even the slightest current draw of the radio being "off" (shut off by ign sense on pin 10) will run their ...

I installed 2 Cim QE-2's in 2 VHF Maratrac drawers yesterday on the bench, set mod, and tested them using a cdm1250 to decode and they checked ok...

took them to the customer, and swapped out the drawers for pre-existing units there... one worked flawless, and ID'd on dispatch's Mark4 decoder with ...

yeh that may be sorta tricky keeping the base station keyed while delayed audio is going out since the llgt wont be present for all of the transmission...

now the dispatchers will be "end-clipping" themselves....

they are just going to have to get used to waiting a second or so before they speak ...
