Thought I'd try one more before starting a new topic. I have connected a second APX and it reads and writes perfectly. Tried a second computer and it cannot read/write to the problem radio as well. Problem radio FW was updated to R10.05.01 just before the problem started, second radio is at R10.00.0...

For the XTS, power on the radio into bootloader mode by holding down the PTT & man-down buttons while twisting the knob. I haven't tried this on the XTL.

I know sounds strange, but, what battery are you using on the XTS3000? I have had many strange problems (including volume) when using Honeywell or impress batteries in the XTVA. Moto made a replacement board to address the issues.
I can get the part numbers if needed.

I have been waiting for one fix for the 5500 since Junes 2005. The ASTRO Status receive is silent and my dispatchers don't know to respond. M has promised, face to face, that they will fix it, as the other consoles (Gold Elite at least) have the feature.

Has this been addressed at last? Thanks.

What's interesting is that we just changed from Nokia phones and car kits, never had a problem, to the Moto V551/557's when all of the problems began. Does the Nokia phone/kit have better shielding or is it the change from TDMA to GSM?

Has an update been released for the MCC5500 yet? I need an alert tone when receiving ASTRO status messages. ASTRO call gives a series of tones, but status is silent, utterly useless, dispatcher does not reliably see it.
