Re: Motorola APX7000 Issue
Thought I'd try one more before starting a new topic. I have connected a second APX and it reads and writes perfectly. Tried a second computer and it cannot read/write to the problem radio as well. Problem radio FW was updated to R10.05.01 just before the problem started, second radio is at R10.00.0...

this sounds a little "as seen on TV"ish for me. Funny thing, when I typed Wilson Sleek into Google, the top link was: "Sleek Cell Phone Booster - As Seen On TV. | WilsonSleek.com" Some people swear by them, but honestly they probably work just as well as any other BDA- which don...

For the XTS, power on the radio into bootloader mode by holding down the PTT & man-down buttons while twisting the knob. I haven't tried this on the XTL.

Re: Analog Spectra Channel Limit Cracked!
If only this could work on the Astro Spectra! Heh? The Astro's already got 250 modes or so. In fact, that's what inspired me to start digging in the analog radio. Is there some other feature I'm missing to put that in context? I should have been more specific, the W4 model Astro Spectra (what I hav...

Re: XTVA volume control - won't go low
I know sounds strange, but, what battery are you using on the XTS3000? I have had many strange problems (including volume) when using Honeywell or impress batteries in the XTVA. Moto made a replacement board to address the issues.
I can get the part numbers if needed.

Re: Serial Cable Length
I routinely use a standard length serial cable to the rib, with an 80' cat5 cable run from a DB35/RJ45 modular adapter from the rib to the radio. I made matching sets of adapters for different radios, ASTRO Spectra’s, CDM/Pro series, GM300, MaraTrac, Quantar, MTR2000 and the list goes on. I maintain...

I ordered two of these (Plantronics CA12CD) for my dispatch center. They seem to work well and have reasonable range within the building. While I do not see a way to accomplish this, I've been asked to reconfigure our MC2000 remotes to limit what frequency can be monitored. The setup: 1 ASTRO Consolett with 2 MC2000's connected. #1 needs access to channel 1, ASTRO secure. #2 needs access to channel 2, ASTRO clear. This remote must not...

Yes, this system is easier, until; get your hands on a FPP (front panel program) model. I am configuring a MCC5500 console and have been unable to set a tone to alert the dispatcher when receiving a PTT ID transmission or ASTRO status message.
Can it be done?
Is the setting in the MCC5500 or the DIU?
