Well guess what, you were right. I tried a different keypad and it worked!! Thank you for the suggestion. Now if I could get myself a hold of a Smartzone codeplug to force in it.

What kind of alcohol did you use? I am guessing not rubbing alcohol.

I have a MTX8000 B7 and the 15 key keypad doesn't work, but everything else does. Anyone know what a common problem is with these radios and the keypad not working?
