As the antenna itself is not really functional at the location, The tech probably tried to keep everything within the body of the truck as it is a Brush Truck and didnt want the antenna to break off.

if you are using a cigarette plug to power your cdm, you may want to consider putting a bigger fuse in as most vehicle's dont allow to send enough power for a cdm when they transmit.

Hi all,
I have a VHF AN ht1000. Supposedly it was transmitting and receiving before I programmed this radio. The radio is acting fine line it is programed, however, it will not receive or transmit nor show the lights that it is doing the same. Any ideas?

Thank you. The radio has been installed in 2001, nothing new or changed. The power leads worked fine for the other cdm that we put in it's place. (both radios are set up the same). off to motorola land it goes!

I have a cdm1250. The keypad on the mic is lit but the radio itself is not showing any signs of power. The display is not turning on, buttons have no light. Any suggestions?
