The simple explanation is that someone, not seeing the difference, took the board of out of a PR400 and installed it on the frame of the CP200. The use the same software so the error would not be noticed unless you had more than one to program. The other less likely scenario is someone went to the t...

You can get AES in Trbo everywhere put the USA for under a grand. The same basic radio, both platforms will support either TRbo or P25 (same hardware) but Motorola puts the price point for the APX 2-3 times what the Trbo version retails for.

As long as you do not plan to link the repeater or have off-site diagnostics, mixed mode will work. Once you link the repeater to a network, the network WILL go down every time someone uses the repeater in analog.

All new Trbo radios come with RAS standard and there is a RAS key entered automagically from the factory. If you have an entry there, delete the entire key and the entry using the 'delete' option, and that should fix the issue.

Not really. Some mikes will work, but be very careful with your pin out arrangements, as most mikes have the HUB pin grounded, whereas the Micom has +V on that pin. Smoke ensues.

You need to install a heat-exchange HVAC unit like the ones used on COWs. We bought one to use in the Nevada desert in conditions from freezing (or below) to 110F+ with driving winds up to 100+ mph. The only maintenance was cleaning the external filters. The cabinet was airtight.

I don't think that Motorola sees much activity in the R2 band, hence no product.
