Re: CDM1250 Display Problem

Kill the power. Pop the control head off. Make sure the circuit board is firmly seated inside the control head (push it in). Also make sure the ribbon connector is fully inserted on both ends. Let us know if that helps.

Re: RICK Help Needed

Actually, the R.I.C.K. book does include dip switch settings for bi-directional repeat. You need to make sure the the mobiles have TOR programmed to output on the correct pins. If you need, I can write down a step-by-step.... I do this frequently...

Re: Logging software

It is nice software - I used the free version testing the telephone line audio cards. Works great. If only it did more channels.... I just shot the guy a paypal donation to see if I can get the "pro" version and play around with it. Who knows maybe it will work?

Re: CDM 1250 Ignition Sense

Its also very easy to remove the plastic frame around the accessory connector and carefully solder a wire from the ignition pin (where it hits the PCB) over to the V+ bus. Takes less than 5 minutes and I assure you works well - have done it to probably 30 or 40 of them. Nice internal mod that can't ...

Logging software

Hello all (again),

Reading the recent post about two-tone decoding software got me thinking about a project of mine that is (still) sitting on the bench waiting for me to finish it. I have a PC with a number of audio inputs and would like to use it to record a few tactical channels. For the sake of ...

R-2200B Service Monitor Problems

Hello All!

I have a R-2200B service monitor with a few problems. I normally just use this for frequency error, so I have no idea how long this other stuff hasn't worked. I notice that deviation alarm, power meter reading, and actually the deviation reading (period) doesn't work. I have the service ...

RICK type product

Hi all,

Im designing a RICK type product for the use of tying two radios together (single or bi-directional) configuration that works faster than a RICK. In the past I assumed the EASYLink from IDA was the answer, but its not. In high moisture environments, the telephone connectors corrode (like in ...

Re: CDM Mobiles slow to open up RX audio.

I'm going to bump this. I have a WHOLE BUNCH of CDM mobiles that are driving their users absolutely crazy with slow PL decoding. If a CDM and a Maxtrac are put next to each other, the Maxtrac is MUCH faster at decoding the PL, and opening the receiver. The CDM also (not surprisingly) has a long ...

I use a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX. 25 MPG, lightning fast, run 8 strobe lights in the front (fire chief) and a pile of LEDs (all undercover). The rear of the vehicle (what you are interested in) contains a service monitor, watt meter, tons of crimp ...

M5 Scan / Alert Question

To make a REALLY long story short, my FD is looking at having a series of members who can be dispatched by two different frequencies, either of which may be active at one time.

Is there a way to set up the M5 to alert if the QCII set is dropped on either of the frequencies?

To clarify....

Hi,

Getting ready to install into a utility vehicle. 2 CP200 portables need to live in this vehicle, so it would be ideal if they had their own chargers in the unit. Moto does not make a CP200 vehicular charger per se (do they?). Suggestions? I'd like to be able to squeeze 2 of them side by side ...
