Re: ROIP-102

Is anyone interested in the settings we used to get these working? Honestly, they would not be bad for simple linking. Not great, but not terrible either. My opinion, but they would not be worth the retail price to me. But, I would use them for some simple linking of secondary and experimental stuff...

If you are thinking of linking P25 with these, that won't work. If you plan to use these things you would have to run mixed mode on your P25 and do analog to analog. And I have a pair of these ROIP-102's running right now with "duplex" radios at each end. The 102's are working OK, but the ...

Re: Motorola P500 portable ????

From what I can find, it sounds like the P500 was a Genesis. Cable listed was RTK4205. RSS was RVN 4134A. In the 1996 portables book listed that RSS was for Radius line P100, P200, P210, P500. Which seems weird because I didn't think the P100 and the P200 used the same RSS. I have a LOT of experienc...

I agree with Mike. Those are SUCH a pain to match up all the Kibbles-N-Bits to get all the jumpers matched up. I don't think you could just swap the chassis and have the radio work unless both radios had been configured exactly the same. Which is kind of unlikely. If you had all of those parts, you could go thru and configure the cable and head to "match" the chassis you want to use. As I recall th...

If you are using tone control, you don't need copper. Only DC control needed copper.

Do you mean 4 wire tone remote?
If you have a "communications system" if it is a comm-center or something similar they probably use tone remote control over 4 wire.
If it has the above mentioned wireline card, you just need to set the programming for the correct tone remote functions.

I can't determine the brand of that, but it isn't a DB-404.
Yours is a standard 4 bay, not double bays like the DB-404 & 408.
Yours uses stainless steel hose clamps, to attach the bays.
