Re: MTS2000 - Remove Trunking help
By S Band I mean, 450-512. The 2100 series RSS supports MB,VHF and UHF (<520MHz) only! Andreas I also noticed, you wrote in your first post, if you don't need MDC. I have the conventional channels now, but I do need MDC, and also narrowband. Thanks, I guess I have to wait and see if the OP found a s...

Re: MTS2000 - Remove Trunking help
There's no trunking systems left that we have access to that will support the MTS2000, the baud rate is too slow for all of the systems arounnd, hence why we'd like to use them for conventional only. Whats the process to flash them to a MT2100 ? There's S Band models. These currently use the MTX CPS...

Re: MTS2000 - Remove Trunking help
I know this is old but I'm wondering if the original poster found a way to do this. I have bunch of good MTS2000's that were used for trunking but the system is no longer in use, but these portables still can serve a purpose for the conventional repeaters in the area. Only issue, is no MDC which is ...

Can Firmware updates be done with ribless cables ? I have both a 9 pin and USB cable that are ribless that I have been using with out any issues. I have some pro series radios, HT1250's and one 1550 that I want to flash to the last version of the firmware. I was surprised to see that it was still av...

HT1550XLS Trunk Scanning
I'm looking for some help to program my HT1550 to scan some trunk systems. I'm not new to programming, but have never programmed trunked systems with the CPS. I have many radios, Jedi and Waris mainly, but never had a need to listen to anything that's trunked. I recently moved and would like to prog...

The OBD Scanner and Multiplexer use the same serial port. I only have 1 serial port on the laptop and now that I think about it I've never used the multiplexer on this laptop yet. I've only used my OBD 2 USB scanner with this laptop now that I think about it, the other laptop didn't have a USB port....

Does anyone know if Moto makes a leather case with the D-Rings to attach a shoulder strap for the HT1550. I've been looking for a while but have been unsuccessful. Re: Full UHF Band Portables
My range right now is 417 to 506 mhz. I only need the R split for work, which is in the area of 417 mhz. The S split will do everything else because the rest of the stuff I use is in the 460 to 512 range. It just sucks to have to carry a 2nd portable for just 3 channels. I already have to have a VHF...

Radius 216 problems!
I'm having problems with a Radius 216. I tried to read the radio with the Maxtrac R6 RSS and couldn't. I then tried to read it with the Maxtrac LAB RSS and was successful. Can the keypads on a MT(S) be swapped just like a HT1250 ? I know the keypad can be added to a HT1000 and the code plug edited to turn the keypad one. I'd like to know you can swap over to a limited to a full keypad and vice versa... If so does the code plugs need to be swapped also ?
